This is the first 3 mins of a 15 mins short I've written and am directing.

This is raw. So much of working in collaboration involves sharing things “work in progress”. I felt this important to show.

Informed by my 15 years teaching narrative and ongoing mentorships with Peter Chung (Creator of Aeon Flux) and William H. Frake (Senior Story Artist at Blue Sky Studios and Disney).

Quite a bit of ACTION here. In this case, a looser style was asked for, and I think that choice brought a lot of energy to these sequences.

4. The Limit of Wooded Country

Below are three sequences from a survivalist film about two brothers who accidentally kill a cop and escape into the LIMIT OF WOODED COUNTRY, a labyrinth of wilderness that pours into the Arctic Circle.

Showing this to demo more storytelling chops, building tension and heightening drama, especially for the Climax.

I designed nearly 500 frames for the Inciting Incident, Central Crisis, and Climax. I was given plenty of freedom and encouragement from writer/director Greg Takoudes to seek out moments that could evoke emotion by dramatizing the characters' choices. Initially, I served as a story consultant before working on these three major sequences.

5. Tumbleweed Tango - 3 mins

Award-winning, Viral short

Featured at the ANNECY International Film Festival this year.

Responsibilities include co-directing, creating storyboards, 3D layout, and character design.

6. The Snow Globe

Lead Story Artist - PSYOP

I think one of the main achievments here was getting people to feel emotional throughout, and was a must for the ending. I read between the lines and found away to convey some real personality in the performances especially for the for the climax, let me know what you think.
