This got kicked off by pitching just a few illustrations to give them a sence of what was possible with the style, but I think we won the job as I took a really serious look at how best to prove we could pull off creating an emotional connection with the protagonist right off the bat with a complete set of storyboards.

We were dealing with Schzophrenia, so it was important to have a heightened sence of care with the perfomances. We asked, "How do we commmunicate someone's experience that doesn't communiccate like that majority of us are used to?". How do we figure how to show someone having a hard time making eye contact without it looking like a mistake?
