… This is one of a series of shorts a group of animators that frequently collaborate put together for SYFY Channel's new Late Night Animation Block, called TZGZ. Produced at Coed Studios, this is the 2nd of 2 spots I directed for the "Bedtime Storeies" series.
I was completely enamoured by shows like, Aeon Flux, The Maxx, and Beavis and Butthead on Liquid Television in the 90's, I love mature and edgy animation.
I felt that if I could contribute to the genre, I gotta go for it. How often do you get to present something from the heart, un-edited, to a huge audience even its only a minute.
I've been in love with the stuff Sam Stephens has been dreaming up for over ten years.
I think he hit it out of the park with the space he is holding between waking, dreaming and exestential crisis. There are tons of ways to invite the audience into that.

John Lee is an extrordinarily talented; human, compositor and animator. A total pro, the moment he showed up he took extraoordinary care with everything he touched.He did tons of beataiful effects and hand animated alot of the bgs and paint flurries, lot of techinical problem solving went into it. Cant wait to work with him again!
Masayoshi Nakamura- Masa is an award winning legend in new york animation, I was really lucky to get his help on this one, he did some really sophisticated work on the "Turtle" sequence, check his work on IF SO, as well.
